Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are the backbone of modern software systems, enabling applications, services, and platforms to communicate with each other efficiently. From mobile applications to cloud services and microservices architectures, APIs power the digital ecosystem.

This course introduces learners to the core principles of API design, development, and consumption. Students will learn how APIs work, how HTTP communication enables data exchange, and how developers interact with APIs using tools such as Postman and API clients.

Learners will explore RESTful API architecture, understand request and response structures, work with JSON data, and practice testing APIs used in modern software systems.

By the end of the course, students will understand how APIs enable integration between applications and will be prepared to move into backend development, microservices, and API engineering.
